ZP-5B - Powder Developer for Suspension in Water
ZP-5B is a powder developer for suspension in water used for liquid penetrant inspection. ZP-5B forms an opaque white coating that creates a contrasting background for indications. When mixed with water, it disperses quickly to form an opaque white suspension, but must be stirred continuously during use to ensure uniformity, as the developer may settle if left undisturbed. ZP-5B can be used as a developer for fluorescent liquid penetrant testing indications or in higher concentrations to form a more opaque background for visible liquid penetrant inspections. ZP-5B is listed on the SAE AMS 2644 Qualified Products List (QPL).
