Description
ZL-67 - Water Washable Fluorescent Penetrant - Level 3
ZL-67 is a highly sensitive, water-washable fluorescent penetrant designed to find the smallest and finest indications in safety-critical components. ZL-67 is safe for use in most engineering and aerospace inspection applications, including aluminum, steel, nickel, and titanium alloys. ZL-67 is frequently used to find flaws in molds, jet engine components, and machined surfaces. Specially formulated for high capillary action, it penetrates defects quickly and reveals them faster and more completely than other penetrants, resulting in stronger contrast indications that are easier for inspectors to identify, even when defects are very small. ZL-67's high flash point allows it to be used in open immersion tanks. Recommended developers are ZP-4B dry powder, SKD-S2 or ZP-9F solvent-based, and ZP-5B suspension. The ZL-67 is included on the SAE AMS 2644 Qualified Products List (QPL) and is approved for use by Pratt & Whitney.
