The SMZ1270/1270i offers the widest zoom range at 12.7x (0.63 - 8x).

It offers a wide field of view at low magnification, allowing for easy confirmation of observation targets, while its cutting-edge optics provide bright, sharp images across the entire field of view. The SMZ1270i is also equipped with intelligent functions that allow for automatic detection of magnification data.

Main Features

• Widest Zoom Range in its Class: The SMZ1270/1270i offers the widest zoom range at 12.7x (0.63–8x). This allows for both wide-field observation at low magnification of the entire 35mm petri dish* during screening and high-magnification observation of tiny cellular structures.
• High-Level Chromatic Aberration Correction: Apochromatic optics have been adopted for the lenses on the SMZ1270/1270i zoom body to achieve a high level of chromatic aberration correction, providing sharp images without blur or color fringing.
• Newly Developed Objectives: The newly developed WF series objectives provide uniformly bright images even at low magnification and a wide field of view when used with the SMZ1270/1270i. Additionally, a 0.75x objective is now available, expanding the low-magnification objective lineup.
