JIS Standard Block
The JIS Standard Block (NiCr Panel) is used to check the sensitivity and monitor the performance of the penetrant during the liquid penetrant inspection process.
They are supplied in pairs, with panels containing equal discontinuities and sizes of 10, 20, 30, or 50 microns.
JIS Standard Blocks (NiCr Panel) are typically used to compare used penetrants with new ones and thus determine if the penetrant is functioning properly.
