7C BLACK - Black Visible Magnetic Particle Powder - Wet Method
7C Black is a highly sensitive magnetic particle powder for visible wet magnetic particle testing.
Particle suspensions prepared with 7C Black provide clear, strong indications and are ideal for locating fine and medium discontinuities in finished parts.
7C Black can be mixed with water or oil and used to locate inclusions, seams, shrinkage cracks, splits, overlaps, spalling, welding defects, forging cracks, quench cracks, fatigue cracks, and other defects.
Use with WCP-2 white contrast paint to improve detection probability and sensitivity.
Water bath conditioners, such as WA-4, should be used in conjunction with antifoam and corrosion inhibitors as wetting agents and to facilitate particle suspension.
