Description
1 GRAY - Gray Visible Magnetic Particle - Dry Method
1 Gray provides strong contrast on most metal surfaces for dry method magnetic particle testing under visible light. Ready for immediate use for flaw detection and evaluation of surface and subsurface discontinuities in ferrous metals. It can be used with a powder sprayer or sprayed from a container during magnetization, and the excess removed while the current is still being applied. On materials with high magnetic retention, indications may still be formed after the current is turned off.
Benefits
- Gray coloration
- Accurate color contrast indications on highly reflective surfaces
- Ready to use
- Good particle accumulation for rapid detection
- Highly refined for the ideal combination of particle shape and size
- Minimal dust accumulation
- No need for ultraviolet light or darkening of the inspection area
